Queensland police officer allegedly rammed with stolen car

A police officer has been injured after being allegedly rammed by a stolen car on the Sunshine Coast.

Police said three cars – including a Mini Cooper – were stolen from a property in Pelican Waters just before 3.30am today.

The Mini was spotted half an hour later and sparked a pursuit that ended in Bokarina, where a police car was allegedly rammed, injuring the male constable driving.

Police said the driver of the allegedly stolen car escaped.

The two other stolen cars – a white Range Rover and white Toyota Supra – were spotted travelling west along Caloundra Road a short time later.

Police deployed tyre deflation stingers on both cars and a third civilian vehicle before losing track of the leading cars.

The cars were spotted again sometime later travelling south towards Caboolture near the Pumicestone Road overpass.

Police said a silver Mazda hatchback and a group of children they believe is linked to the incident were later seen in Columbia Place at Sippy Downs.

Anyone who witnessed these incidents or has any information about the whereabouts of the Range Rover and Toyota Supra is encouraged to contact police.
