The regional New South Wales town of Tamworth will be locked down for one week, starting from 5pm today, as Greater Sydney's Delta outbreak spreads.
A young woman travelled from Newcastle to Tamworth last Wednesday before the Hunter lockdown began.
She visited multiple sites.
Stay-at-home orders will be imposed to all people who live in Tamworth or have been there on or after August 5, 2021.
The Tamworth lockdown rules will be the same as those already in place across Greater Sydney, including the Central Coast, Armidale, Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Port Stephens, Singleton, Dungog, Muswellbrook and Cessnock.
