Authorities warn of scam messages claiming to be from Australian Border Force

Scamwatch is warning Australians to be wary of an online scam pretending to be from the Australian Boarder Force.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission said a recorded message claiming to be from the Australian Boarder Force (ABF) is being sent around.

The recorded message says there is an arrest warrant as a parcel containing illegal content has been collected under your name.

It then asks recipients to dial one.

The ACCC through Scamwatch says if you receive a similar sounding call, to hang up immediately.
