A Queensland man has been shot in the hand by police this morning after allegedly pointing a gun at police officers.
Investigators were called to an incident in Flagstone, south of Brisbane, where the man was allegedly threatening to hurt a group of people he knew.
Police arrived on the scene around 11.20am.
The man allegedly raised a gun at officers, causing them to fire a defensive shot, which hit the man in the hand.
The man has been transported to hospital with a gunshot wound.
He was escorted by police.
The Ethical Standards Committee will investigate the incident.
The man is the second person shot by police in Brisbane and surrounds in the last 24 hours.
Peter Pilkington, 48, was shot dead by police after a six-hour siege in Stretton yesterday.
More to come.
